hmmmmm, this is a hard one. Is it all potty;s or just that one? Maybe a

different potty? buy a baby potty and put it in another room then gradually put

it in the bathroom, um use a big plastic bowl and put it where he pees on the

floor and then put it the potty or let him do it and praise him when does it (

this would solve on the floor problem). Tell him pp goes in potty not on the

floor. watching dad go if your comforable with that. Have make friends with

the potty put yellow in water and have him put it in.

does he have language to ask him why? can he answer yes/no questions,so you can

say different answers for him.

whata ya think,

chris

He refuses the potty as well. I don't think he is afraid, because

he always flushes. He is super clean and wipes up after himself.

He can drink four cups and hold himself in for 5 hours, yes he is

stubborn. We tried keeping him on the toilet because we knew he

needed to go, but he kept trying to get off and wanted to pee on the

floor...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Judy

Judy someone said they sell these cute little " targets " that float in the

toilet....kind of like an aiming game, lol (sounds silly). I had a friend whose

son used to, well, lets just say he liked to make a big mess. She got these

somewhere (I think it was babiesRUs) and let him put those in the toilet and

shoot at the target! Cured him immediately.

I've never seen these, but they sure worked well for her. Just an idea......

Judy,

Well, I have not encountered this type of problem, but my 3.9yo son prefers

to use a urinal over the toilet or potty chair. When he's at school, he

almost always uses the urinal and his diaperer are dry; However, when he's

home he wets his diapers and will usaully only use the toilet/potty chair

just before baths. I wish there was a mini urinal that can be purchased for

potty training little boys. I think this type of product would benefit your

son as well as mine. Just a thought. Sorry I do not have any advice for your

situation.

Take care,

Kris

Hi-

When you say you are trying to keep him ON the potty, do you mean

SITTING on it? All three of my boys have been potty trained by

standing and peeing. They HATE to sit, it's too hard to point the

urine into the bowl and I think feels awkward.

Try getting a stool if he is not tall enough and tell him he can be

a BIG BOY and stand up when he goes. It's worth a try-

Karyn -

I wrote about the targets. I bought them at Linens & Things but I think you

can probably get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond as well, and possibly even at Toys

R Us! Again, the Cheerios worked wonders, too, so I guess Fruit Loops or any

other cereal would work - something fun to aim at that will flush down ;-)
