Just a thought...which came first....the chicken or the egg...

Well, maybe the fibroids are leading to the tipped uterus?

Mine is so tipped that I have to do gymnastics before my GYN can find my cervix

to grab a hold and bring it into view to do my pap. It seems that each year it

was more and more difficult to visulize my cervix. Maybe as the fibroids grew,

it made the uterus more tipped and bent?

Just a thought....

Well,

Mines been tilted since birth. Even 5 pregnancies didn't straighten it out.

Just wonder if that is causing some bowel problems. Need to ask when I go

back for post op visit in 2 weeks.

The robotic myomectomy is something I've never been offered - at least, so

far. Actually, I think Glitter Girl had this surgery, if I'm not mistaken.

Personally, I would prefer a human surgeon...just kidding...sometimes though

I wonder with the type of docs we get maybe a robot could do a better

job...lol. I was thinking of getting the laparoscopic myo but after joining

this group I've started to wonder, although I still think it is the best

option as far as recovery and blood loss are concerned. But I think I'm going

to see a reproductive endocrinoligist first before I decide one way or

another. I'm going to ask my 'regular' endo to recommend someone.

Me too, I'm coming along for the ride on that

bandwagon. I was wondering . . . they say about 1/3

of women get fibroids, and the doc told me about 1/3

of women have a tilted uterus, hmmm.

Me three. I am 47 with a tipped uterus and a 7cm fibroid. My male Doc has

suggested the wait and see approach but he doesn't have pelvic pressure,

discomfort, heavy bleeding and a bulging abdomen. Thanks for sharing your

information and experiences. Carla, you are quite amazing! Thanks for helping

all of us " fibroidally frustrated females " be more informed and support one

another.
