Guest guest
Hi All! We were supposed to get about 3 inches Friday and up to 6 inches Saturday. Didn't happen. We only have about 4 inches total. North and East of us got a lot more. So did Southwest of us. The storms have been splitting just before hitting our area and missing us with the major stuff. This includes the rain storms this month and last. The Wabash and Eel Rivers meet here in Logansport and they both were flooded the worst I have seen since moving back here 19 years ago. No homes damaged, but Lafayette IN, about 45 miles Southwest of us had to evacuate several homes and many roads were closed because of high water and flooding. Now, if only the temperature would go over 15 F and the wind chill over 1F or below, I would feel a whole lot better. I spent today with a heating pad on my quadriceps because they were getting tight and beginning to ------- FASCICULATE. This is only the second day this winter I have had problems and I DON'T LIKE IT! But, I live with it. I have a new problem now. I will be seeing my neuro on the 31st so he can compare CAT scan films and MRIs from 10 and 11 years ago to see if the back problems I am currently experiencing were evident then. I had a CAT done three weeks ago and it showed a herniated disc at L3-L4, putting pressure on L4-L5 and L5-S1, with a chip from the vertebra possibly putting occasional pressure on my sciatic nerve on the left side. This latest CAT scan was done because I couldn't put weight on my left leg on a Tuesday at work. I think it happened on the Tuesday after Christmas and I got the scan the Monday or Tuesday after New Year's. My PCP thinks I may need surgery, but I will leave that option up to my neuro. I am also experiencing some numbness in my left lower leg, which can only be felt by me when that area is touched. No pain, but I am receiving PT for a possible bursitis in my left hip - the artificial one. It's helping. Keep me in your prayers and hope this coming week is as good as predicted.
