What is different about Igenex? (Lyme testing)

Hello everyone--

I am just wondering because my girlfriend was asking me why the test results

from

LabCorps for Lyme were unreliable, and I wasn't sure of the scientifics of why

Igenex is the

only reliable lab...I am curious myself. My doctor here and Dr. Metzger who I am

starting

to work with both say this is the only place to go but I don't know why. I live

in land

where Lyme is a big issue.

MEANWHILE...I have had the most frustrating time getting this test. My doctor

wrote me a

script specifically for Igenex, and when I went to LabCorp the first time they

sent me a

letter weeks later said they didn't take enough blood. The SECOND time I went

there to get

it I verified with the lady ahead of time that they were indeed sending my blood

to igenex.

Well sure enough, A MONTH later I get my results and nothing ever went to

Igenex....so

now I have to do it over again and wait another three weeks...argh. (Sorry guess

I'm

venting it's so frustrating!)

Would love it if anyone could answer my question....
