Guest guest
tONI, I had Regular X-Ray and it showed the spots on the lungs. the next step was PET Scan, which showed exactly where the sarcodosis is... the only other option was a lung biopsy which I had done once the PET scan was competely... of course, they had to choose to do it on my throat/neck area.. i'm now uncomfortable wearing anything that has a low neckline.. though I have been putting Vitamin C on it.. it has lessen the scaring.... I have a good Lung Dr too.. though supposedly right now.. I'm dealing with severe allergies.. I'm going to another specialist that I cant even pronounce.... hopefully he can figure out whats going on in my head !! Wiish me luck.. and I can sympathize with all of you that are being bounced from Dr to Dr.. I've had more than my share this month alone I was going at least twice a week.. those co-pays sure add up fast... wishing u all a wonderful weekend and hope to catch some of u on line in tonights chat!! j:) Reply-To: Neurosarcoidosis To: Neurosarcoidosis Subject: Re: Some feedback please Date: Fri, 04 Jun 2004 19:34:50 -0000 Toni, X-rays are usually worthless for Sarcoidosis. Have you had a lung cat scan yet? They are usually the best to see sarcoid in the lungs. My pulmonary doc, who is wonderful, said that Gallium scans are too sensitive. Hope this helps. Cheryl > Hi everyone, Well following this continual cough that I have developed and have had for over 3 months now, I went and had a chest x-ray last Friday with no abnormal results showing up. Has anyone experienced this and if so why isn't it showing up? It doesn't help my cause when NOTHING is showing up for them to diagnose or treat!!!!!!! *SIGH* > > Cheers > Toni > OZ > j:) Getting married?
