Guest guest
.....for those that are questioning themselves about regains or their ability to find a new way of life including food. http://www.humaninvestment.net Terri Holtzclaw, PHd is a very active member of the WLS Support group that meets each month in Atlanta, at Northside Hospital. Her field is psychology...but her expertise is psychology of those that have taken the WLS route...as she did. She's one of us and balances that personal evolve with practical knowledge of the dilemmas that everyone faces, but most especially focused on those that are having their " troubles " in the post state. I've only known her be sight at the meetings....a mere wisp of a lass but a motivational giantress. I have heard her speak in public once (at our last meeting), but I was convinced that this was someone on " our side " and a force to reckon with. She pulls no punches..she leads in the right direction...and she'll tell you to " Grow UP!! " in the event it appears you're falling in on yourself. Wringing your hands may burn a couple of calories...but it's not the optimum exercise to accomplish your goals. If you're looking for a " thasss allright, you'll get better " pat on the back...you might get that right after you get kicked in the ass with a profound revelation of the abyss that some of us dig for ourselves (not ME mind you<G>). Anyhow...from what I've seen to date...I'm impressed with what Doc Terri (pronounced DAK-TARI)(yep..just like the old TV Show) has to provide the WLS patient and would encourage anyone to at least go to the website to look around. If you do find yourself availing of her services...do NOT mention my name...I'm sure she's busy enough without someone like me posting her website for intra-state Email counseling. She's small...but I'm sure she can hit! signed, Annonymous
