Guest guest
Good morning everyone, As usual, I am behind in reading all the posts, but intend to do that later today. I have a question for anyone that cares to share - What made you start weight watchers? Or maybe the question should be - What was the final (last straw) event that happened that made you decide that something had to be done about your weight. I am assuming we all chose ww rather than another diet because either other diets were tried and didn't work, or that we researched and found ww to be the healthiest plan for losing weight and keeping it off, a new life style rather than a diet. For me, I simply grew tired of " trying on my own " to stay focused on losing weight. I knew the right things to do, but had trouble staying focused. I know there are those of you who don't agree with the " accountability " issue, saying we are only accountable to ourselves. While this is true, for me, the extra accountability was necessary (that being I am now paying for this meeting and someone to keep records for me and advise me when I need it, as well as weigh me every week and encourage me) to keep me focused. I love the support I get from my ww meetings as well as from this board. I will weigh in on Thursday this week in my 5th week of maintainence. If I was still trying to do this on my own, I doubt very much I would be at this weight. I think I would still be at 153 and struggling. Will be interested in your stories.
