Guest guest
Hi ladies... It has been 11 days since my laparoscopic myo and I have a question...I hope you don't mind me getting real personal here so here goes...haha... Today was one of the first days that I actually got out and did some shopping with my honey... Well, ever since my surgery...there has been some constipation so I have been using Colace to prevent straining...the post op instructions warn against straining and its potential to do harm to the surgical area. So needless to say, while out shopping, the Colace kicked in and I had to immediately find a rest room, which I did. Here is the real personal part sooo here goes... I went in to the stall and did what I had to do...well...I didn't need to strain at all...everything was moving along as it was supposed to...haha...well I was near finished and all of a sudden, I got this terribly painful sensation in my pelvis & my immediate thought was oh my god! I must have ripped open my stitches...I almost freaked! Then all of a sudden something passed out...It felt like it was a big blood clot.... I was prepared for a flood...I really was...but thank god I didn't have one!! I went from thinking I ripped open my stitches to " oh no...the other fibroid is going give me problems! " I looked at what came out and it didn't look like a normal blood clot which is always dark or bright red and completely red... It was lighter in spots...sort of a " whiter shade of pale " and had brighter spots of red in it...it looked like tissue & a clot combined to me...kind of intertwined if that makes any sense. Is this something to be concerned about? I will call tomorrow of course and ask but this at least explains the cramps I have been feeling this week...maybe this is why?? Is this normal after a myo?? I am feeling fine really and no bleeding...just light spotting. Just wondering & was a little concerned about the sharp pain...which I think was from my cervix passing whatever it was it passed??? Has anyone experienced this post myo?? What do you girls think?? Thanks! ***Glitter***
Guest guest
The first thought that comes to my mind is a fibroid - one that didn't get removed during the myo and passed on its own? Not something I've read about before in conjunction with myo surgery, but I don't see why it couldn't happen. Let us know what your doctor says... since it wasn't blood clots, and you didn't start bleeding, this could be a good thing! B. 11 days post myo question please ...It was lighter in spots...sort of a " whiter shade of pale " and had brighter spots of red in it...it looked like tissue & a clot combined to me...kind of intertwined if that makes any sense.
