Jodi's Post-Surgery update

Hello Jodi's SCD community peeps

Jodi came out of surgery 4:47pm (she went in to the OR @ 1:47pm).

She did great. Right now she's in her room settling in... and at the moment

falling asleep.

Thank you so much for being such a support system for her. My heart is warmed

by how resourced she has become due to this community.

Please do me a favor and post this on all other SCD related Yahoo Groups. I

know there is a google group as well.

Thank you for letting us know how Jodi's doing. She's made some amazing

strides in the time she has been on SCD, and she's a inspiration to all

of us.

Based on my own surgery for cancer about one year and six weeks ago,

she'll be pretty groggy for at least 24-48 hours.

Please give her our best, and let her know we are all thinking of

her.

If she feels up to it, bring her her computer. <grin>

I've posted to the original SCD list at LongIsland.Com, and I'm sure

others will make sure the word is spread.

<HUGS> to her... (but gentle ones -- we wouldn't want to squeeze

too hard just now!) Please keep us posted on how she's doing, and the

results of her labs.
