Now I am convinced. This is the way I was. It would have been crazy for me not to up the way I did because I woulda just been in a coma until the four weeks was up. And like you...my does doesn't last very long either. If I take Armour at 7:00...I'm sure better have some more in me by 1:00 for sure. Guest guest
Cindi, I had to up fast too. If I did not then I got debilitating sleepies and depression worse than before starting the meds. I had no choice but to increase every time it started up again otherwise I would have been a tired/groggy/depressed mess not able to even feed myself.....or even caring to. I still have to take a split dose every 4-5 hours or I drop right down with sleepies. It hasn't mattered what the total dose, I still must redose in 4-5 hours. Last night I about crashed with tiredness at 3 hours, instead of 4-5. After the dose I was good for only 2 hours and crashed sleepy again. My regular 2.5 mcg T3 did not help me through the night either. I woke at 5:30 AM all restless and achy. I may be due for another increase. I will watch what happens today. I have been on 3grs Armour and 2.5 mcg T3 for only 10 days. And to add, if my Armour is not increased as I have been, I do not sleep well either. That is not helpful for healing! I think we just all need to realize we are different in our reactions to the meds and need to do what is right for ourselves. There is no formula to follow that fits everyone. I was very surprised at how fast I could up...but my body soaked it up like a sponge. And the hypo symptoms just started going away - but there is an overall weakness that I feel is from the years of defiency. Cindi

Guest guest
Cute! :-) Well, he is very tall and became prematurely grey.....sound familiar? ;-) I'm in MA. I just finished reading the book Ghost Riders which takes place during the Civil War in the mountains of western NC. Guest guest
I 'm baffled at the psychotic and depression symptoms. Usually the T3 effect is just the opposite. Would increasing every week be too fast? I don't know. Five 30 mg. tablets is what I'm taking right now. My doctor is concerned about my TSH being too low. (rolling my eyes). I " m interested in what other have to say! in Va. Not near enough, Alyce, and you did not give it enough time....straight T3--how much was that???....50 of cytomel or less??.....and it sounds like you did not take any Armour while on that, right??.....I just think you are terribly underdosed and it takes time to build it up.....what do you other people think???........sue ~~~~~~~~~~~ > > --- In NaturalThyroidHormones , " Alyce " > > body. > > > > > > at 1200 out of a range 0-34. Guest guest
Alyce, can you be even more specific? First did you have any of these symptoms BEFORE you started Armour? Did they occur with your female hormone surges?? Etc?? Next, you state that you started at 1/2 grain (30 mg)... every week went up until you were on 2 1/2 grains...then tried straight T3. When did the crying and paranoia start after you started on Armour....after the first week...after the next 1/2 grain raise...etc? When did the depressive symptoms start after starting the straight T3---after the first week...after the second week....etc?? Yes, increasing so fast MAY have caused the problems.
