I think it's quite scary for some dr's to believe that this can happen. If you

really want to make them cringe, they should see the documentary on tv that I

saw. A woman woke up during surgery, in intense pain, feeling everything, and

repeated everything that was said during her surgery, after she came out of the

anesthesia. I'm not sure anybody was aware that this could happen.

She literally was awake, but couldn't move or speak to let them know about the

intense pain she was feeling. But she recounted everything they were saying

while that surgery was going on. I can't remember who did this report on the tv

documentary but it was quite enlightening for a lot of people. I've come awake

once while I was having a colonoscopy done, about 6 yrs ago, and hollered at the

dr and said: Ouch! He was so shocked that I'd come out enuff of the anesthesia

that it scared him. lol. They gave me a bit more and boom, I was out like a

light again.

Re: Abscessed Teeth

I bet! Fun for both! :-(

I had hand surgery for nerve impingement from carpal tunnel....I know...I

know....NOW.....anyway, after the surgery while I was in recovery I told the doc

that I had had a dream during surgery that I was having surgery on my hand....he

got all pale and denied that I could have had such a dream!!! LOL I think he

choked thinking that I was saying that I remembered waking up during surgery.

Naw, well maybe....but I think it was just a dream...pretty vivid....that must

really spook them when someone puts their head up, HUH?
