Autoimmune diseases and the degenerative diseases are promoted or even caused by chronic toxin load and oxidative stress, and they can be ameliorated by reducing same. In this case this can be verified in Medline for example by typing oxidative lupus for example. I'd recommend a series of liver flushes and controlling bowel bacteria by replacing inulin lost to the modern diet, to kick-start the healing and detoxification process. Bad bacteria produce toxin load 24/7, while the good ones do not. Gut dysbiosis and resulting leaky gut are linked to lupus and several other degenerative illnesses. Body Balance provides very good nutritional support for healing, and it can produce healing reactions on its own. It contains most of the glyconutrients we need and also fucoidan, a polysaccharide that among other things is a superior anticoagulant. The aloe component has an immunomodulating effect, verifiable in medical research by using those keywords. Take advantage of the free bottle offer; it's worth $35 US. This website requires the Flash7 browser plugin. http://lifeforcefamily.com PIN 20466442 ( Gilbert) A good antioxidant and protein program that includes cold-processed, " undenatured " whey and selenium will stop the oxidative stress by increasing glutathione, which supports the liver, general detoxification, and all the cells that might be under assault. Elevated glutathione is an immunomodulator, and there are also a couple of glyconutrients in the whey. Also borne out in the research. Choose a sugar-free cold-processed whey. The program might be improved further with the use of Active H- as one of the antioxidants, and drinking lots of water, using cod-liver oil, and garlic. The program should work regardless of drugs she might be on, but I have to tell you that one of the worst drug classes for her are steroid anti-inflammatories, which contribute to leaky gut and even bwel perforation. Just a guess she's probably on one of them, such as prednisone. Of course these should be avoided as they interfere with both immune system response and any healing program. In fact they promote disease. It might be reassuring to know that I've arrested and reversed a fatal autoimmune disease that kills in about four years (inclusion body myositis) using this general approach, including the SomaLife. My own father should have completely wasted away and died about two years ago, but is still out there throwing hay for the horses, cutting firewood, working on machinery, building on an addition to the house, and etc associated with general homesteading. Guest guest
, I'm not an expert on Candida, but I'm pretty sure I've been suffering with it for several years now so I've been reading a lot. Won't fasting just make the little monsters burrow deeper into your membranes looking for food? These are the guys that have a role in decomposing us when we die so I'm not sure fasting will get rid of them. Good luck and let us know how you're doing. shan Brand <cogmom@...> wrote: how do you go about finding a naturopath? and yes i understand that I need to be under a doctors care, and I would if I knew how to find one...also I do believe Im under a GREAT Dr.'s care and thats Jesus and I knwo that He has called me to this fast, I just want to rid my body of all these toxins and I felt the only way and with candida is to get off everythign...Im now eating a few raw veggies a day for 10 days and see what that does... thanks for your info and your prayers candidiasis wrote: There are 8 messages in this issue. Guest guest
I'm not trying to tear down instructors, however, sometimes it's the instructor's philosophy that is the student's problem. I started the local college's (in Vancouver, WA) pharmacy technician program when I was 22. I struggled and was accused by my instructors that I wasn't studying and if I would study, I would do better. In reality, I was spending as much time as I could studying but I couldn't convince them that I was studying and my troubles were legitimate. Due to my struggles, I had to retake some classes (each class is only offered once a year) and so during the summer between the two years it took me, I did a battery of tests to test my memory and comprehension. It turned out that I have a below average short-term memory and an above average long-term memory. Therefore, I was struggling with my classes at the start of each quarter and by the end, I was doing much better but sometimes I couldn't get my grades high enough to pass. When I returned to college, I brought the test report with me and suddenly the same instructors were a lot more cooperative and instead of getting Cs and Ds, I was getting Bs and Cs. Re: Taking Pharmacy Tech Course Posted by: " Jule Barta " julebarta@... kasyrabd Sun Nov 16, 2008 1:48 pm (PST) I don¢t remember seeing the original email but I want to give you my perspective as an instructor. The average age of my students are 24 years old, I have had from 17 up to late 50¢s. While I love my students and have had good and bad ones of all ages, it seems that my older ones tend to be the better ones. Older students understand the value of education and have better work ethics. My younger ones a smart but they live at home and for many of them this is just something to do, for older students this is a necessity and a way to make a better life for them and their children. Younger students want to only know what is needed to ass a test, older students want all the knowledge and understand that everything I say in class is important, not just what I test them on. Older students spend more time studding and get a higher GPA, the younger students sadly are the ones I see taking the shortcuts and at times out right cheating. My older students are always on time and usually get perfect or near perfect attendance, My younger students only think about right now, not the future. Some of my older students have been a godsend in my class and take the younger students under their wings and help to mother and nurture them. They have helped me by validating what I say about the importance of an education and a work ethic. They are more apt to tutor and help students and to encourage teamwork and study groups. Younger students are more apt to encourage having fun and partying. Now these are generalities so don¢t email me back and say I am only 18 and I don¢t do this. I have had some great students fresh out of high school and I have had some adults who just wasted mine and many others time by being in my class. But I love when I get a good older student as mentioned above. If I worked in a pharmacy I would rather have the older more reliable pharmacy technician who might be a bit slower but is professional and has a great work ethic than the younger tech who can pick things up quickly but has less professionalism and work ethic. Knowledge is not about the grade you get in class but what you put to use when you are on the job. Julette Barta CPhT, BSIT, MA Ed. Pharmacy Instructor CRY-ROP PO Box 8640 1214 Indiana Ct. Guest guest
I will admit that there are some bad teachers out there who often blame the student but in this case you had a medical problem that no one knew about. When I have a student who says they study all the time I then ask them “how are they studying” There are good and bad ways to study. Different methods work for different students, as a teacher it is my job to recommend different techniques BUT as a student it is YOUR job to be open minded and to try different techniques to find what works for you. In my class the biggest thing is for the students to know their drugs so I will talk about study techniques for learning Trade/Generic names and classifications of drugs. I tell my students this on the first day of class and the students who are successful almost always tell me this is the best method. FLASH CARDS!!!! On day 1 make flashcards. Do not buy them Make them yourself! Studies have shown that just by making them you will retain 20% of the information. Next and most important USE THEM! It is amazing how many students make flashcards then don’t use them and wonder why they have trouble in my class. When you make the flash cards use different colored pens to lump the classifications together. This works well with visual learners. When you use the flash cards SAY the words out loud. I know this sounds silly but you see and say the words then you hear your self, this helps with auditory learners. Carry the flashcards with you everywhere. If your standing in line pull them out and review 2-3 words. You are in the car and someone else is driving, pull out the flash cards. During a commercial break while watching TV, mute it and pull out the flash cards. Come to class 15 minutes early every day and pull out the flashcards, Stay 15 minutes after class and pull out the flashcards. How many times in class have you seen a student all packed up ready to leave just waiting for class to be over? This is a great time to pull out the flash cards! Play games with flash cards. – My students have to learn 20-25 drugs a week. On day one I tell them to make all the flash cards then take 5 of them and use them, make a pile if you know the drug put it in the discard pile if you don’t put it in the keep pile, keep using them until all 5 are in the discard pile, go over them again to make sure they are all in the discard pile. Add 5 more cards and start over until all are in the discard pile. Do this until all your flash cards are in the discard pile and then start over again. Grab another student and quiz each other. Make up funny stories to help you remember the drugs ( Tenormin is atenolol – Ten men stood at attention) Most students who tell me flashcards don’t work usually haven’t even tried them but in case they truly don’t work , write the word down 10 times each brand/generic/Class over and over. Use Studystack.com or another online flashcard program. Make up practice tests in a similar format to your instructor and practice, practice , practice. Take a test (Several are available online) to find out what kind of learner you are and research study techniques that work best for you. If you have a learning disability find out and share this information with your instructor then research different study techniques. Teachers can be good or bad but we don’t have all the answers, we can offer advice and try to help but every student is different and each student needs to find what works for them. To be a great student you must have an open mind and try different techniques, if you are not doing well then the technique you are using is not the best for you so find another one. If you teacher offers to help take them up on it. Don’t make excuses, only you can know what works best for you, teachers are there to help you and to guide you but we must work together in order to be successful, you chose to become a student and you owe to yourself to do the best that you can do. This email is not a slam on anyone personally, so please do not take it that way. Every student is different and must find what works for them. Just remember to be open minded and to try, if you are not open to trying you are not open to learning and even the best teachers will fail with you. Julette Barta CPhT, BSIT, MA Ed.
