You can sit next to Rick in the front and he will duck tape your backside to the seat and pinch you....<grin>...then when he takes everyone else to Dairy Queen you get thrown in the back and covered with hay...which does not taste like Dairy Queen. I also think he lets sit on you...<grin> Or.. You can see what's been happening in your life the last few weeks that might have you craving more food..... When I need to get back on track I do a couple of things I drink loads of water. I try to eliminate one meal a day for a day or two or try grazing all day long on very small meals frequently....either one to limit the food that day. I severly limit carbs during this time concentrating on foods with more healthy fat in them to keep me full. I increase my exercise but try to do it in a fun way....not on the dreadmill..... I avoid the road that goes by Dairy Queen. <GRIN> Ressy

Guest guest
Deb: I did this to myself over the holidays & I vow never to do it again--it is so very very hard to get off that slippery slope! What I did was just stop the overeating! I went back to how I started in the very beginning & folowed the trail all over again. 'when I thought back to how I started I realized that I had been eating many more veggies & had somehow slacked off on that so I started preparing these early in the day & making sure I was stuffed with them before eating anything else. You may have used similar tricks to gain control--think about what you did. Is there any particular food that is calling your name or just a general too many calories type of thing? Be prepared for a few days of hunger--I just thought of it as a sign that I was getting back my control. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 1/05 A1c: 5.4 = 115 mean glu 50-100 carb diet, walking, Metformin ALA/EPO, Coq10, B12, ALC, Vit C Cal/mag, low dose Biotin, full spectrum E, Chromium P, Policosanol, fish oil cap, fresh flax seed, multi vitamin, Lovastatin 20 mg, Enalapril 10 mg 3/05:140 lbs (highest weight 309), 5' tall /age 67, cappie@... Guest guest
I have increased my exercise................I am a vegan (for me it gives me better control), and I seem to have developed a mad lust for dry roasted peanuts and sugar-free peanut butter. The eating started when I went out of town. I am trying to start a new business, and how I will get insurance. Any way the town I was in had such a wonderful supply of healthy-vegan food. Well when you eat too much of anything it ceases to be healthy..................I do think this eating is the result of my anxieties about my work life. I will try drinking more water. Guest guest
As I mentioned to a previous poster I have developed a mad lust for dry roasted peanuts and sugar-free peanut butter. I am a vegan, which works for me and gives me the best control................. I think it is a great idea to go back to how I started. It is much too hard to get back on the slope when you fall off.................I don't like feeling out of control. > Deb: I did this to myself over the holidays & I vow never to do it > again--it is so very very hard to get off that slippery slope! > > What I did was just stop the overeating!
