Guest guest
Hi Ging, I know what you mean with the Doxipen. My immunologist had prescribed it for me too, when nothing else was working 25mg. It zoonked me out completely, my tongue was so thick (like a stroke) I could hardly talk. I tried to cut the capsule in half and it still did the same thing. He then prescribed me 10mg, same problem. I tried cutting that in half and same problem. I said to myself, dam, I'm not taking this crap and still have the two whole bottles. I told my immunologist about the problem and he said I didn't need it anyway and was just another med. try to see if it would help. Hay, I'm still cleaning out my medicine cabinet. Anyone want them. It is a strong Antidepressant.I have never been able to take any tranquilizers of an sorts as they make me feel terrible and change my personality to nasty. I would probably make a terrible nasty drunk if I drank. LOL. I always have alot of energy & I hated it when I was on all those antihistamines. I chase my husband around the house a lot and sometimes he lets me catch him. We have our own business at home so he is here all the time. We are a distributer for pharmaceutical glass. Ging, I hate to hear about your hiving and everyone else in the group when I am doing so well. It makes my heart ache for all of you. I did a real test for myself last night at dinner. I cooked Veal Parmesan with lots of spegetti sauce and pravalone (sp) cheese over the top. Not one hive this morning Hoo-rah. That was the big test for me. Cheese and tomato sauce caused angioedema before plus the CU all over the body. I still continue to take Zantac for stomach reflux and nausea and need to take off 40lbs. At least now I am a jolly butterball without all the meds. Ater X-mas I will start a weight reducing diet. I have tried so many times but stomach felt so yucky I couldn't keep to it..
