There are used CPAP's on E-Bay. You can bid on one and get one that way. Or you can check the ads for medical equipment in the paper. It is expensive to buy a new one ($400 or $500 for most models), but there are lots of used ones out there, and you can pay someone to clean it well, sterilize it, and adjust it for you at a medical supply company. Personally, I'd get brand new hoses and a new mask to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

Do you have an Easter Seals near you? Or a Salvation Army? They may have access to resources. I know that Easter Seals has loanable medical equipment, but I don't know if they deal with CPAP's.

You can also RENT a CPAP machine through a medical supply company. I believe I paid $40.00 a month for one, but I had to buy the aforementioned mask and hoses myself.

Try Ebay...people are selling them a lot cheaper then they would be

to buy them new...he would need to have a doctor set it to his needs.
