Ciao Hope!

Greetings from Sweden!

I speak very little Italian, I can read it better than write or speak!

I just wanted to say Thank you for asking that question about Lyme, because I also did not know what it means. I hope we get to find out.

Best regards

Lyme ?

Hi ! :)

How are you?

I read that you're going to get better and I'm happy for you ... :))

Can I ask you just a little question, please?

I read that you started treatment for "lyme" ....

What's "lyme"? (If you remember, I'm italian and I didn't find this word in my dictionary ... :-//). Is it a virus?

Thank you very much in advance,

and sorry for the maybe banal question ...

Carlota and Hope, Lyme disease is caused by a spirochete bacteria that is transferred to humans via tick bites ( others are just starting to suspect it can be spread from person to person). It is very common in the US and very difficult to treat. There are lots of women whose v pain goes away after following the treatment protocol for Lyme. There is a lot of info on Lyme in these archives as well as the net in general. It is a huge health problem in the US. WHat we are dealing with isn't acute Lyme but chronic Lyme. Doctors are horrible at both recognizing this disease and treating it. There are several women on this list pursuing treatment usually from docs ( mds) that are not completely mainstream and seeing good results. One needs to have their blood tested with a specialty lab like Igenex in order to get credible results. Lots of "mainstream" docs only send to the labs that

one's insurance covers, but their tests aren't sensitive enough to detect chronic Lyme. Hope this helps. Sandi
