Guest guest
Occasionally, there will be folks here who are up to 4-5 grains and STILL don't have the symptom-free life they want. This is due to a condition called " thyroid-resistance " ---that is, your tissues don't respond as readily to thyroid hormone as do most other people's tissues. And.....you may have a VERY high T3, yet your symptoms persist! If you are the above, don't be afraid to continue rising that Armour dose--and don't let your labs scare you!! Some folks with tissue resistance can go as high as 6-8 grains. It's SYMPTOMS that are important anyway. Guest guest
I agree with this, also. I have read material from before 1970 that indicated that some people needed doses as high as 9 grains. With Armour, there should be no adverse long-term effects. There are definitely adverse long-term effects for a low metabolic rate. Too many to mention. Tish

Guest guest
Hi !! If you don't find a doc who agrees, this is where folks start to self-treat. My pulse got higher on higher doses, but it's because of having MVP. Your body also needs time to adjust. Let us know how it all turns out, OK?? Janie > HI, Janie, > Thanks for this! Guest guest
Well, what do you mean by difference? Do you mean that you are still having symptoms, and if so, what kind of symptoms were you experiencing, as opposed to now? I'm sorry, I must have missed a post somewhere, probably because my emails are all out of order, and I don't seem to be able to make them in order on my Outlook Express. It has ascending and descending order, but the answer to one is still sometimes way above the other one.
