Guest guest
I used food rotation strategies when I started SCD, and still use the strategies with some foods five years later. Food rotation definitely helped me quite a bit, as I had extensive food sensitivities when I started SCD. My digestion works better with the variety of foods, and my immune system is much calmer. In my case, I didn't have to worry about meats, just had to rotate vegetables and the few fruits I eat, and the types of nut flour muffins I make. Food rotation strategies easily complement SCD and can be very helpful when you are dealing with a compromised gut. I found a few books on food rotation at my local library, and did some research online. Kim M. SCD 5 years >>>>>>>>> I am very parcel to scd andhealed really nice and continue to have good health. Guest guest
Hi ... rotation diet just means you don't eat the same food ( or food family ) every day... it is "usually" a 4 day rotation ie: day one eat brassicas & beef, don't do again till day 5 ...it is compatible with scd tho challenging! For myself, there are some things I know i can only do "rarely" ...like tomatoes, I only do them once every 10 days ...rotating has allowed me to reintroduce foods I used to react to ...like eggs, i can now have once every 4-5 days...my meats I roughly rotate ...where instead of days, i use a different protein at each meal ...so for eg: beef, then chicken, then fish, then lamb, then turkey, then pork ...rotating is used to reduce food intolerances & to keep from developing more. I think if you google, you can get a listing of food families .. you then choose the scd foods you tolerate... it is easier to describe than it is to "do"! best of luck, gisele
