Hi Miki,

There is no such thing as too long of a story. It would be very difficult to

explain all we go thru in a few short sentences. So don't worry about being

talkative.

You confuse me some when you say you have a rash, but your doctor called it

hives. To me a rash is " very small " itchy bumps, usually about pin head size

which can cover a small area or large areas. And most times will cover more

skin area than a single hive (although I've had some large hives too). Hives

do usually abate within a few hours to a day or so, and then return, either

in the same spots or different places on the body. The fact that yours stay

such a long time makes me wonder if it is hives.

I have one suggestion to start off with. Buy a tube of LOTRIMIN AF. You can

get it over the counter at any drug store. It is probably $10 - $12.

Wash the affected areas thoroughly and dry well. Apply the Lotrimin to the

affected areas. Do this 3 times a day. Try this for at least a week.

I have bad hives and angioedema daily, but about a yr ago I got a vivious

itchy rash that would not go away. I showed the rash to my neighbor who is a

doctor and she told me to use the Lotrimin AF. After a week my rash was

gone. It came back about a month later, but I did the same treatment again,

and it has never returned. If this helps you let me know and then I'll tell

you how to follow up.

Did they have you on any type of antibiotic during your pregnancy or after

the C-section?

Yes, taking care of a 2 yr old can wear you out (ain't it fun tho?) but if

you do have urticaria that seems to cause fatigue too. Keep me posted ok?

Hugs, Elaine in IN
