Thanks for the verse. My 14 year old daughter is on the diet and we have had quite a year with all of her problems. But the diet worked and I'm giving God the glory for it. He lead us to the nutritionist who found out 's problem and put her on the diet. It's an amazing testimony and I'm crying as I write this. Basically she had extreme anxiety starting last summer and couldn't go to church, youth group, and then when school started, couldn't go to school. Panic attacks constantly. She has celiac disease. I had the gastro do another endoscope to make sure we weren't missing something. Well, he found nothing and said it's psychological. I had many people tell me to put her in a psych ward. At the time, I just wondered if my daughter would ever be normal again. Needless to say

it was a very stressful period in our lives. I clung to many verses. Psalm 16- I will not be shaken; you will not abandon me; you will fill me with joy. - various verses. and then Psalm 18 is wonderful. God is my strength, my deliverer, my stronghold, etc. etc.

Well, He definitely delivered Rach. He lead us to the nutritionist who ran tests, found a bacteria overgrowth in her gut, put her on this diet on Oct. 1 and by Dec. 1 was back to school. She graduates from 8th grade next month and it's truly a miracle. I was told this week that she's possibly going to get an award that only goes to one child and it's because the teachers have seen how she's overcome a lot this year, plus she's an A student and very respectful, etc. (She's a great kid. What can I say???!!! :)

Anyway, I had to share all of this since you were bold enough to type in a Bible verse for us Christians. I really appreciate that.

I just want to share something that brings me to tears all the time and that is the story of Jesus' healing Jarius' daughter. - in Luke 8. We have the "Jesus" movie and I cry every time I see that part. The Lord has definitely healed my daughter. He is truly awesome and so worthy of our praise.

Have a great Mother's Day.

Wow, I really feel your daughter's pain! I'm 15, and I just was diagnosed with UC Sept 08. Before then, in April, the doctors thought it was parasites. I've had a lot of anxiety problems as well, and the first diet I tried kept me out of school from December all the way until the beginning of February. I just started the diet, but I hope it works as well for me as it has worked for your daughter. By the way, I'd love to talk to her sometime if she wants to email me off-list. I think it'd be nice to talk to someone near my own age who's going through all of this too!AlyssaThanks for the verse.
