A real introduction

An " introduction " was posted recently by someone claiming to be me. Because

the person who posted this made an offer concerning my business, I have

asked to allow me to post even though I am not quite one year out from

surgery. I have been lurking here for quite some time now and have learned

a lot from your experiences. Like many people before me have said, I feel

like I already know so many of you even though most of you have no idea who

I am.

My name is Terry Mayers and I had my RNY surgery on September 26, 2000. I

have gone from 339 pounds to 218 pounds and am thrilled with my success so

far - although I have no intention of stopping here!! I'm living my life

and loving it. To tell you a little about me, I am 32 years old, a wife and

a mother of three beautiful little boys - ages 5, 3 and 18 months. Just

being able to be able to play with my boys has made this surgery worth it to

me.

I am also a business owner. One thing that I wanted to make clear is that I

*never* use spamming or posts like the one below to market my business. We

are a legitimate, honest, successful web hosting and web design company and

we would never resort to any underhanded or unethical methods of promoting

ourselves. I don't hide what I do - it's in my signature file and at the

bottom of all of my email messages - but I don't annoy people with it

either.

The only thing that the poster got right is that I am a friend of

Curran. My friendship with is another wonderful " side effect " of

my surgery!
