Guest guest
I've been on the diet for almost 3 months now, and lately have been having some weird problems. I've always had anxiety, but now, I get it out of the blue for no reason. On Friday (2/20), I was feeling perfectly normal. Within minutes, I began feeling hot, then very anxious/panicky, then nauseous, and then vomited. How I could go from having a perfectly normal day to being sick in a matter of minutes is a little baffling. About 20 minutes after that, I seemed to have an allergic response that came out of nowhere: itchy and weird feeling in the roof of my mouth, nose draining down my thoat, and a stuffy nose. I took a couple antihistamines and it went away after awhile Since then, I keep having bouts of anxiousness that come out of nowhere. Also minor headaches that come and go, and this strange feeling in my head that most closely resembles dizziness. It's not really dizziness, but a strange feeling that seems to go from the top of my head down, almost as if I were to close my eyes and drop my chin to my neck (except I'm not). It only lasts a second, but happens throughout the day. My appetite has disappeared as well. As far as my crohn's goes, all seems to be well except that I still have extreme fatigue. The last new food I added was beet brownies (the beets were the new item), which was 2/11. The last supplement I added was on 2/18, which was the SCD B Complex. I'd actually taken it before, but dropped all my supplements and reintroduced them back in after a setback caused by a glass of wine on New Year's Eve. Also, I haven't eaten any illegals since I started the diet, but most of my meds have things like starch, sugar, lactose, etc. in them (Pentasa is the worst for illegals). Unfortunately, I can't afford to have them compounded. So does this just sound like symptoms of the 3 month flare? Or die off? I'd never noticed any noticeable die off symptoms previous to this. Thanks for any input you have! Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/
