Guest guest
, definitely, definitely, find a pancreatic specialist. Tell us where you live and maybe one of us lives near you, someone can give you a recommendation on doctors (and hospitals). Those interns/residents are just horrible. They obviously do not understand pancreatitis, let alone chronic pancreatitis. You CAN have specific people banned from your care. As a patient (therefore a paying guest, whether you pay for it or your insurance does) you have rights and can get the care you need and deserve. If you ever go back for any reason, just ask for the physician staffing supervisor (explain the situation) and then have the residents (get all their names) bared from your room and your care. If they interfere, have security called. You can even open a grievance with them through member services. I had a doctor bared from my room when I had an attack a year ago. Guest guest
Hello everyone, Well I do not get to post like I would like my home computer is down so I read the posts at work (quietly) Anyways, my son was sick yesterday so I stayed home with him and called the nurse at my Dr.'s office. My dr., Dr. Baluyot is leaving at the end of December she is the only female dr. in Ripon so I am sad for that but they are looking for another female Dr. I talked to the nurse yesterday and asked her for help told her I really wanted to have the GPS she said she didnt realize that I wanted it for sure. She called Kaiser and come to find out my packet was sent to the Dr.'s office and she didnt even know. I was told that I have to see the Psych and do the dietary eval before my packet gets sent. I have my psych appt on Nov. 2 and then I called the Health Ed class and they said my class on Dec 1 is the Dietary evaluation but they called the class Gastric Bypass Overview. They said after this appt. the Nutritionist has 30 days to feel out all necessary paperwork. So after Dec. 1 all of my appts should be complete to be able to turn in my application. I feel really good right now like I am finally getting somewhere even though my journey has just begun. I am sorry that I don't get to post often but am blessed that I have found this group. Due to reading your posts and your journeys I have been able to help my process with more knowledge. Hope to post soon. Oh by the way your pictures are awesome!
