Hello Dee,

Thanks for telling. I sometimes leave the original post in because I think it could be good to see what the original sender had said or if someone wants to keep track of the conversation or something. I will do my best to try and remove the original sender message from now on.

Best regards

The accepted way is to delete the bits of the original post that you

are not replying to and to leave snippets of the original post in <

and >. as I have just done here, so that we can follow your reply and

make sense of what is being said.

HI Kay.. ;)

I agree with your point hon .. and If we would just leave snippets or

reiterate a question etc. that definitely would be fine. No problem

with that at all and makes logical sense. *smile*

When it's 'me' who's getting the complaints and I understand with

just recently realizing it as well myself, and I have been really

lenient about that and it is part of our guidelines, I have to say

something.

It's just part of being owner and running a group this size and

trying to please everyone and the accepted way is really whatever the

owner of a particular group wants. I've been on some really nasty

ones believe me, LOL And honestly this was not directed

to 'anyone'specifically, so don't worry about it hon... Just

something now and then I have to send out as we all get into that

habit of forgetting.. :)

Hugs

Dee~ ;)

Thank you Dee and Kay,

The only thing that works for me is to delete the whole message and type a completely new answer. Otherwise I get a strange box that wont change when I try to remove it or try to remove parts of the text in it.

Anyway, its good to know these things, so we are aware of whats the rule.

i understand. sometimes tho, for some reason the computer will not let me put in the snippet. it deletes the whole message. i have gotten frustrated and just not sent my messages in many times because of this. ml

PS that is EXACTLY what it did. IT blocked out the entire message so no snippet here

That happens to me too if I try to do it from the original email message. But

if I hit REPLY first, then the previous message comes up and I can edit it

(delete portions or all of it).

But be sure to hit REPLY before you delete the old message or it will be gone

forever.

Joyce: yes that is what I do and it deletes it ALL ...Even when I try to just copy a part to include as a snip it wont let me just copy a snip...so I have started typing just a little part of the message to hold the thread..love, and thanks!! ML
