Guest guest
, No, it's not dumb. It's how you felt. The mind can do that to us once in a while! The rule of thumb is you should see some results form any form of regular exercise in 6-8 weeks. I'm sure you are looking great! Keep up the great work! Guest guest
My tumor has started growing again. He put me on Xeloda. Is anyone out here on That particular chemo pill I will ask my friend Suzette if she has taken that. She has been taking different meds since her BC came back 20+ years ago. She has cancer around the periphery of where her breasts used to be. It is too close to the lungs to radiate so she takes all kinds of chemo or pills to keep it from spreading elsewhere. Nothing stops her it seems- right now she is in Italy teaching and will be back in a couple of weeks. She is bald again and has the chemo cough right now; She went to Italy anyway to teach of course! She is such an inspiration to me and everyone that knows her as her joy and appreciation for life is contagious. Guest guest
well i have had a nerve racking week. first off, i have a herniated dics. second, my tumor is growing again, third. when they did the mri on my back they seen something on L2 so i go monday for a bone scan. my fear is mets to the spine. that would explain my herniated disc since i did nothing to cause it. i go to a nero surgeon on thursday for my back. i am on morphene for the pain and still have quite a bit of pain. it radiates through my right hip and down the front of my right leg. and to top it all off we are getting auditted by irs. i just wish things would just settle down. it has been 12 yrs fighting this dam dragon and i am tired. some days i feel 80 yr old instead of 45. thanks for letting me vent. god bless and hugs from carol in michigan
Guest guest
Carol, Have you heard of bisphosphonates? These are drugs that prevent further bone lesions. The names are Aredia (Pamidronate) or Zometa (Zoledronate). They are given IV in the doctors office. Sometimes they radiate bone lesions, if needed to treat the pain and stop the cancer growth. Watch out for constipation on Morphine. Our docs want patients on fiber preferably, only laxatives if the fiber isn't working for them. Stool softeners are ok, but they are only telling the colon it is ok to let some water out in the stool, fiber is better. I hope the doctors piece your puzzle back together and get you back on track. Good luck!
