Israel trip is not going as planned.

I have what looks like 2 pancreatitis attacks since I have been here.

I never knew I had pancreatitis.

First one was so violent I ended up in the ER- vomiting green bile

full of retching and orange/pale stools.

Yesterday, I ate a lamb roast which was a nono causing me disasterous

pain again. Here in Israel there are still house visits by docs so I

got IV fluids and meds again like I did in the ER at my in-laws house.

Obviously, immediately everything was blamed on CD- but a CT in the

hospital as awful as it looked to everyone- my husband and I saw that

there is -significant- improvement with my CD CT from about 4 years ago.

On the CT they found that I have CD on my appendix. Does anyone know

what this means?

Another thing is the changing of time taking my LDN seems to have had

bad consequences- I spoke to my doc in NY about this and she does not

agree.

Also, I am quite glutened here and there is much cross contamination.

Bless my in-laws as much as they try illegals get into my food.

Like there is a corner in the kitchen designated for my stuff/food

items. My mom-in-law was mixing cake ingredients and flour from the

mixer got onto my food. I feel this is a problem.

These kind of events have been happening from day 1. Can this be

contributing to my current state?

I have lost so much weight here it is not even funny.

I am so happy I had extra weight..

My husband thinks we should cut our stay short and get home he is just

worried I may not be strong enough for the flight...

We are still considering this..

My will to live has diminished by this experience. My intention was

not to become sick as a dog while here.. anyway- sticking to pureed

chicken soup, apple sauce, steamed zucchinis, home-made pear juice,

apple juice and green tea.

Hi Mara,

I don't think I was strong enough to travel.

I haven't been eating any of the dehydrated foods. I simply cannot.

It's been very hard and challenging to eat.

> Do you know/suspect why the lamb made you ill?

I am not sure. We even cut off my piece and kept it seperate as teh

family likes to nash with forks and so on after eating potato dish or

whatnot. So my husband cut off my piece. Lamb was made with salt,

pepper (maybe it wasn't my ground pepper come to think of it and she

used her pre-ground one with who the heck knows whats

inside?!?!?!?!?!?) I will ask tomorrow. Fresh thyme and garlic.

My doc said that lamb is a fatty meat and if it was a gall

bladder/pancreatitis attack than fatty meat would throw me off again

so close to the original episode.

The Amalyase level from hospital test was very very high. Also, green

liquid vomit and orange/pale stools.

> At least the CT scan show significant improvement. Big Yay for you

> on that account.

Yes, I am happy about this. Will need to get radiology report

translated for my GI in states as obviously need GI work up ASAP and

probably need to look into pancreas which makes me unhappy.

> What are the consequences for changing the time of your LDN?

I seem to think major consequences- doc doesn't agree.

Skipped dosage in plane.. originally thought to take on plane as it

helps me feel sleepy (I know it's the opposite with me as most people

don't feel sleepy) Doc told me that she would of advised me to do

what I did. Still, don't know if that is best.

I was told to use LDN according to local time and to never take 2

doses in 24 hour period.

My gut told me to take on plane but when I was on the plane I felt it

might be easier just taking at evening following night in Israel.

Arrived in Israel 9am locally only slept about 3 hours.

Was totally ok. Then at 6pm I took LDN and out of nowhere at 6:05 I

felt the pain attacks, followed by nausea and about 9-10 rounds of

puking each time 4-5 times retching. My pain became so bad I screamed

and wailed. I went to RAMBAM ER and obviously they were worried about

CD. Since last Lebanon war ER has changed so it is underground and

also devided into sections like " ER surgery " " ER internest " etc etc..

This helps with efficiency. I was taken to " ER surgery "

On the way to hospital I blacked out and lost conciousness a couple of

times. So the worry was some kind of infection although I had no

fever. I seem to think a direct connection with LDN time change.

This scares the crap out of me that it was so violent. The next night

I still took the LDN and immediately after felt better.

I am very worried about how I will take LDN on the way home.

I feel there is a direct connection.

> This came up this week on the LDN list, and all they said was

> take the meds according to the timezone of the new country

> you are traveling to.

>

> Can you get hold of the DL-Phenylalanine, to increase the range

> of the endorphins?

I have some here but I am quite terrified about taking it as I am

having bad internal pain and I don't want to get sick. I am sick from

not eating too..

> I think it's a good plan to stick with the simple food you are eating

> and

> see how you do - if you can maintain that diet and your daily health

> stabilizes then stick it out. If not, consider coming home.

I just want to be strong for the flight.

Happy to see family, ready to be home.
