Guest guest
Hi All, As I indicated in the yogourmet yogurt post, I've recently entered a flare, despite the fact that I've religiously followed (as far as I know) the SCD diet since May 2007. In my case, stress was a highly contributing factor, I'm sure, but I'm still investigating possible sources of illegals in my diet. One thing I've been doing is buying store-bought shredded cheese, if the ingredients state only cellulose as a separation/preservation agent in addition to the pasteurized milk, etc. Is there any reason to worry about this? I know that most SCDers refuse to buy shredded cheese -- possibly because other starches could be added that aren't listed in the ingredients? Now I'm rethinking my decision, as well. It seems that any shortcuts or time-saving conveniences pose medical hazards to those of us on SCD. Thanks, Jill UC 2004 SCD May 2007
