Guest guest
I have been doing so well that it is scarey! So, Happy Halloween! Like Anne I am taking neurontin (gapentin sp?) and amitriptyline (Elavil) I am up to 500 3 times a day of neurontin and 100 mg a day of the Elavil. I've been on this for a month and just staying there. Another thing I've added is Trigger Point Therapy. I believe that this has helped a lot. Also on my list is EFT. It is very helpful in many ways. Guest guest
> Hi , In response to your question I have been on a rollercoaster ride for about a year. I think it started with a yeast infection and being thin and dry in the vaginal area. I used over the counter yeast meds. Never will again. After just being treated for hormonal imbalances I realized that it was more than that. I started on amitriptyline and worked my way up to 150 mg. over a long period of time. I was much better meaning I wasn't in pain 24/7. In July or August I added neurontin to the mix. (I am going to a specialist, not writing med prescription for myself!) I gradually increased the dosage slowly. I felt even better and then reduced the amitriptyline to 100mg. I am up to 500mg 3 times daily of the neurontin. This appears to be working well for me. A couple of weeks ago I added trigger point therapy which I am doing MYSELF. I got a book and I am doing massage to certain areas. Aside from that I do EFT every day. Tom Okler has spoken about it and I think it is great. I don't know that it has healed me but I am sure that all of this has helped! Molly, I know that PT worked for you but I have not gone that route and don't belief that it is for everyone. I know when something has helped you that you are eager to share that and I thank you for your kind spirit. I will consider PT if what I am doing fails to continue to do its magic. I went to a neighborhood party for the first time in a year, and I have gone out to dinner in the evening. Even when I was doing a bit better I dared not go out in the evening because it always struck then. do what ever you have to and do it now. Have faith and stay open minded. We are all different so we need to head the signs our own bodies and psyche give us. I remember many times crying silently but never gave up hope!
