This might be a repeat, but I wanted you to see it. What your

doctor did to you was at the very least assault, maybe even sexual

assault. The statute of limitations is longer than a year in most

states. The physicians ethical board, patient advocate's office

(through the state or his hospital/medical group), or medical

ombudsman also takes complaints. I absolutely understand you may

want to never think of this again but just know that you do have a

right to file assault charges against this pervert and there was a

witness, the intern.

Hi Lindsey and all,

If he actually stabbed someone out of malice it is one thing but pin pricks are believe it or not a test for neuralgia. That is what he would claim anyway. Sounds like the world would be a lot better off without this turkey practicing medicine. I get just as outraged as everyone else by the way the medical profession can hide behind mistakes and rudeness, but unfortunately suing and prosecuting are not going to work. I like to get revenge by telling every woman I know ( well not every) but lots of the other soccer moms I see all over town how mistreated I was by that doctor.

I totally hear you about the neuralgia thing...but in the buttocks?

He would still at least have to answer and the burden would be on

him to defend himself, and he would know that somebody had taken the

time to stand up to him. But I know it is hard to

prosecute...believe me! My ex-husband broke into my house and the

police basically did nothing...and my stepdad and uncle are both

cops who were helping me. So I know how hard it is to make things

stick and it is probably just as good to tell the other soccer moms,

but filing charges is ALWAYS an option. Of course they expect the

doctor to say it was for a legitimate medical reason-there's no way

he's going to say, " Oh, yeah, she's right, I did assault her. " But

each person has to do what feels right for them, just knowing what

the options are is important I think.

Lindsey, thank you for your reply to Jane and Elaine. I agree with you. They do have RIGHTS. I like what you said about the places to go to express a complaint. Even if Jan and Elaine do NOT feel the need to do so, the rest of the ladies here will be educated on the opportunites available to them. EVEN if all a person does is to SPEAK OUT to the ABUSER that they know they have a RIGHT and a PLACE to file a complaint, that in itself makes the offender know that someone MAY put an end to the abuse. I spoke out loud and long when I felt I had not been treated properly. It did make a difference. Love, ML
