Guest guest
Hi Kris, I don't know about these bagels you mentioned, but our WW leader told us that there is a bagle made by Lenders that is found in the frozen food dept. and it is 3 points. She said they are a little smaller than the bag ones you get on the shelf. I haven't found them yet, guess I will have to ask her if she has bought them around here. ~~Kallie~ ===================================================================== In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Jay & Kris Swofford " <jayswof@e...> wrote: > > Has anyone tried the Atkins low carb bagels? Guest guest
Personally, I can't stand the low-carb bagels. They took out everything that makes a bagel good. You might as well eat a thick piece of low-carb bread. Guest guest
Have you tried the Western Bagel alternative bagel? The premise is low carbs but it's only 1 point. A bit mushier than a regular bagel, but it's a good substitute. They're a bit pricey though, I think I paid somewhere between $3-4 for the 6 pack of bagels at the grocery store. _________________________________________ Subject: RE: Re: Bagels Thanks Kallie, I went and looked for the Lenders bagels and I found onion, blueberry, and plain in the freezer section but unfortunately they all come out 5 points. I asked at my meeting about the Atkins bagels and someone said they are gross, they have a strange gummy texture. Glad I didn't buy them now ;o) They felt really soft and squishy in the bag not firm like bagels usually feel, that's why I wondered if they were any good. I guess I have to stick to the mini bagels when I can find them. Problem is they are to small to put in the toaster and I like my bagels crisp. Maybe it's time to get a small toaster oven. That's what I need...more kitchen gadgets ;o)
