Re: PELVIC PAIN - IC study

I just found something online regarding interstitial cystitis which isn't a vulvar disorder but seems to be related. They are doing a study to see how BCG, the bacteria best known as a vaccine against tuberculosis, might help IC. BCG has been proven to shrink cancers, particularly bladder cancers.

I read a little bit about this (and now I'm having trouble finding that article again)... but it's odd to me that a bacteria that causes inflammation in the bladder could be a possible cure for an inflammatory bladder disease. BCG is a bacteria that was created by taking the tuberculosis bacteria and modifying its' DNA somehow.

HI . ;)

Thanks for that article hon,

http://www.ichelp.org/research/BCGStudyAnInterviewWithMarilouFoy.html

it's not too surprising to think that a bacteria or even a virus has other uses we'd never consider. Here's a link I have where a Herpes virus derivative can be used to shrink cancerous brain tumors.

It's sure interesting eh? Can drive you crazy after a while, LOLhugsDee~

Yep... that actually happened on an episode of House.

There was a very young man/older teenager who was a faithhealer and was hospitalized for something...

he came in contact with a young woman who was dying of cancer. Few days later she says that he's healed her because she is feeling so much better.... she actually went into remission with the cancer....

the doctors were shocked to see the tumor had actually shrunk.

And then it turns out that the faithhealer had herpes and had given it to her when he kissed her and she had contracted herpes and that shrunk the cancer temporarily....

I think they must model that show on actual cases that have been documented.

OH , LOL

I"ll be darned, a show based on that very thing how funny eh?

What a coincidence but maybe not.. maybe they do base some of those on 'real life' things... Some of what was considered far out science fiction years ago has come to fruition today.. so maybe precognition or who knows what.... wish someone would come up for the cure for cancer like that.... but you know what?

Bet if someone really did they couldn't announce it to the world..... far too many would lose jobs and the whole economic society would probably collapse with the jobs lost. Besides if someone did have the real cure? Most wouldn't believe it anyway. :)

Thanks hon.

Dee,

Ever heard of Dr. Rife? A very fascinating -- and disturbing --story. He was curing cancers right and left many decades ago with a vibrational therapy that he

invented. Even had a hospital in California that people with horrendous late-

stage cancers flocked to for "miraculous" cures.

He died mysteriously and his office was ramshacked, with his research

papers stolen. There are still people using his technology in somewhat

altered form: in fact, i've used Rife machines myself and i know someone

who's early-onset Alzheimer's was completely put into remission by this

therapy.

There are many organizations/companies/industries who have tremendous

incentives to suppress truly effective and safe cancer cures. This happened

several decades ago; today, with the whole cancer "industry," there's even

more at stake.

Oh, is that the vibrational therapy? I just ran across that

yesterday... interesting... this guy was going on about

finding the different vibrations of different bacteria and

destroying them with vibrations or something.... it seemed

sketchy but if it really works....

the guy writing the journal was saying he'd been treated for

lyme but was still sick and then found out he had other

bacteria and viruses that hadn't been identified and when he

treated them all with vibrational therapy he got well. Do

you believe that? I mean, how substantiated is it?
