Hi Holly,

Was the blood test done in a fasting state?

Glucose readings are only count in a fasting state.

Has this test been repeated at all?

Also, I am learning High Amylase can be due to 4 reasons in the body;

1) Pancreas

2) Small bowel (meaning Crohn's Disease)

3) Salivary glands (forget the exact ones)

4) Fallopian Tubes (Rare)

It is most likely due to the Crohn's if all other Upper GI issues seem in tact.

My blood values went loopy pyscho first 8 months on the diet.

Go by how you feel and try not to freak out (easier said than done huh?)

Hi Jodi,

You know, I wasn't fasting. So that's good, maybe it's just a false reading.

Interesting about the amylase. Could definitely be small bowel. I haven't had

pain there since I started Humira, but that doesn't mean nothing is going on in

there.

I know what you mean by freaking out. I tend to be a serious worry wart! Thanks

for the input!
