Guest guest
Thanks Ruth! I'm not to the point where I can tolerate un-ground nuts yet, but I'll keep it in mind for when I can! Lucky for me (I guess), I'm very underweight right now, so I don't have to worry about eating too much fat!AlyssaJust need to vent. I had to cheat on the diet today! Ahhh!!!! I was at school, and I ran out of food, and I started feeling my blood sugar drop like I was going to pass out. So I had to get some Welch's gummies from the vending machine. Ahhh!!!! It could've been worse though. The only illegals were sugar and corn starch, and there couldn't have been that much corn starch in gummies, right? Anyways, hopefully that won't set me back too far. And if anyone comes up with room temperature snacks that won't spoil (besides bananas, they bruise and get mushy in my backpack) let me know! That way I can keep more food on hand!Alyssa**************************************************************************************Dear Alyssa,Not so easy being out and about on SCD. I have not been v successful in search for non-fattening snacks! For a long long while, I had little jars of pecans everywhere. Everywhere. In my car, in briefcases, in office desk drawers! and that had worked well. They are very yum. and I find that it can tale the edge off. Could be almonds or other nuts, I suppose. I have held onto every little jar coming my way! The down side for me is not wanting to re-gain weight I lost long ago. And the next loss of ten lbs when I gave up gluten. In any case, it has been pecans to the rescue for me! I so admire your writings and reflections and insight. I had some slips too this week. all best wishes,Ruth
