, it doesn't sound like you're eating anything that would create heartburn.

I don't know about the meds, perhaps someone else could help you there.

Something else that could help is to sleep in a 45 degree angle by adding some

pillows and perhaps putting a couple of fat books underneath each leg at the

head of your bed. Make sure you don't go to bed on an empty stomach or eat

something too hard to digest less than 3 hours before bed. Eating small meals

often during the day really helps too. Let me know if you need more

information.

chicken.  I eat no red meats.  I have green beans, spineach, and once in a while

I have cooked apples. I have the homemade yogurt.  I know that the med,

prednisone and asacal both cause indigestion but I am down to 2m of prednisone

and I take 4 asacal 2xday.  I wouldn't think it would bother me now since I have

been on these meds since Nov.

start taking betaine HCL with pepsin and enzymedica digest gold at each meal

I was wondering if any of you on the diet suffer from excessive amounts of stomach acid.  I have been having pain in my upper stomach area for about 3 days now.  it is so painful.  It feels as though I am starving.  I couldn't understand why I was sooooo hungry. But the pain is not from hunger but from stomach acid.  Is there anything that is SCD legal that I can take to nutralize the acid? I have been on this diet for about 5 weeks now and I thought it was great that I wasn't needing any tums or products for this problem but I guess I spoke to soon as now I am having the problem.  The D cleared for a while but as I reduce the prednazone, the D has come back.  any suggestions for either of the problems would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all of you for you email as I am learning alot from all of you.  It just helps to know your all out there.

don't be discouraged move ahead slowly - maybe go back to intro for a bit and

re-add slowly now that you're off meds?? - interestingly I just read in Suzanne

Somers new book on aging we naturally have less acid as we grow older which

gives peiople without " issues " like us prolems too - BUT docs are prescription

happy and give us stuff to get rid of the acid wehn what we need is more

hydrochloric acid- - have a health store near that you could look for some

that's legal???

seems that most of the food I can eat ie meat. yogurt, greenbeans are acid

producing foods. I have gotten off the steriods and now the D and blood are

back and It feels like my stomach is eating my backbone most of the time. I am

getting very discouraged. Please help
