Guest guest
Did the gastro doctor give you any suggestions on how to teach her?? How old is she again?? We could probably come up with some ideas (I've read others who have had to " teach " their children to eat) but it depends on the age. There is no point in my spending a page telling you to teach her to chew if she's only a few months old and has no teeth!! So if you would refresh my memory on her age and weight etc. and any type of foods you are giving her right now, I'll get my brain right on it. Best wishes Debby (in Canada) almo1@... wrote: > Hi everybody, > I have been out of Madrid for a week so I have needed a little time > to update all the messages on the list. Guest guest
Hi , My only suggestion to try and teach your daughter to eat is to try cyprohepatdine ( Periactin )as an appetite stimulant. It has helped my son and one thing the doctor mentioed a while ago is thatit is not so important how much of an appetie it gives as it teaches his body that regular intervals to become hungry and to eat. It maybe small quantities but he is learning to eat regularly. Another thought just came to me also. Some have reported that when their children were put on growth hormone their appetite's picked up. Just another thought. I hope this helps. Ken M > Hi everybody, > I have been out of Madrid for a week so I have needed a little time > to update all the messages on the list. Guest guest
Good for you, Rose. I hope this one's a "keeper", he sure sounds like one! He sounds thorough and motivated. Good luck , DebbieRose wrote: I was seen at the Indiana Univ. Sarcoid Clinic yesterday. I really liked the doctor; he's a pulmonologist, also critical care & infectious disease specialist, I think. I had listed some questions & he answered each one thoroughly. So, we'll see what happens after I get all the labs. I feel hopeful that at least we're looking in other directions, instead of just drifting along, month after month, year after year. I'll keep y'all updated.
