Hi Toni....

I personally have not had any problems at all with my sugar, but I know there are plenty of people in the group that have. I am sure they can help you out. I am just having problems with my white blood cell count, its lowered too much and it doesn't seem to be going up by itself! Well, hope you are having a good day (or night for you)!

G'day everybody. Hope everyone is going OK and if not that you all get some relief soon.Just a quick question to pose to the group? Bearing in mind that we are or have all been on prednisone at some point, what sort of sugar levels are your dr's accepting as OK? Just curious, because mine are all over the place right now even though I'm on meds for it.Love and healing thoughts to allToniBrisbane OZ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.687 / Virus Database: 448 - Release Date: 16/05/2004

Toni,

Normal blood sugars should be between 90 and 120 when you check your blood sugar prior to eating. 2 hours after a meal, they shouldn't be above 140.

My MD wants mine at about 80-100, primarily because of having spent years on prednisone, and having insulin dependent diabetics on both sides of the family tree (Mother, Gma, Gpa, Gma and a couple of aunts). My sister is hypoglycemic, and they watch her closely because of the possiblity of it going to diabetes.

I'm sitting at 146 fasting am, and 180 2 hrs after meals. So I went back on the Glucophage 500 mg 3x day, and we watch to see if this is gonna work.

Hey Jeri, thanks for the compliment, I'd never actually thought about it

to tell you the truth just sort of seemed convenient to send several

replies together.

Hi ,

Thanks for that information, its been a great help although I couldn't get

the link to the conversion site to work.

A funny:

A father asked his 10 year old son if he knew about the birds and the

bees.

" I don't want to know! " the child said, bursting into tears. " Promise me

you won't tell me. "

Confused, the father asked what was wrong.

" Oh dad, " the boy sobbed, " when I was 6 I got the 'There's no Santa

speech.

At 7, I got the 'There's no Easter Bunny speech.

When I was 8, you hit me with the 'There's no tooth fairy speech.

If you tell me that grown-ups don't really shag each other, I'll have

nothing left to live for. "

luv to all

Toni
