Guest guest
Lynda, that is JUST the tip of the iceburg! After several years, oyu will notice a gradual but steadily increasing flexibility in all your muscles & joints. About 3 years ago I was in PT for tendinitis. They said I would not be able to continue grooming. HA! Increase the Armour, wore a brace for about a year, it is GONE!!! Not even a twinge when I have a heavy brush out which is what used to bother it the worst. While being hypo for many years your muscles waste. It takes a LONG time to rebuild them once you geton a good dosage, but rebuild they do.. it just is so slow you won;t notice till suddenly, you realize something you thought you could not do again, you are doing, pain free! Guest guest
, that's even better news! I am hoping that I will be able to go hiking like I used to do. We used to live in South Africa and would go up to the mountains once a month. My dh would like to go back there for a holiday but I won't go unless I can walk a decent distance, hopefully the armour will get me there. Guest guest
Lynda, I think with Armour we find many things that we had become unable to do suddenly change. I sought out the Armour Thyroid after my hyperT/graves was over, & I was suffering from many hypoT symptoms. I'd heard so much negative about T4 only replacement. I never bargained for all the added things that Armour contributes to, but I can tell ya this. For the first time in years, (at least 5-6) I can work outside in the yard, and I can also go shopping and actually feel good, like I used to feel. When I post that on various places on the net, people are known to come back and act as if it's all in my head. lol. But, I find that without them taking armour, they honestly have no clue. It's given me the closest thing back to my life as it was before being sick with thyroid issues. To me, that says it all. :-) SandyE~Houston On Fri, 3 Sep 2004 12:18:54 +0100 " Lynda " wrote:

Guest guest
Yea, it's all in our heads! Everything is in our heads. So why do all the docs pass out all the antidepressants like vallium, prozac etc for something that's just in the patients heads!!!!! ly I'd rahter take my chances with Armour than prozac anyday. I get so tired of this crap from everybody else. I do not know what I'd without you guys. Guest guest
Good point Deb. I thought that when they though we were nuts they gave out 'sugar pills' to appease us? heh :-) One of my biggest problems before I was diagnosed was back pain and carpal tunnel. I never once suspected thyroid although I'd gained weight, had become so tired all the time, my hair looked awful, constipation, and swollen ankles, brain fog, etc. I had an MRI, nothing wrong, other than a small amt of arthritis from an old injury from 35 yrs before. After the surgeon viewed the films, he told me not enuff there to cause the type of pain I was having. Well, the more I read about Armour and the functions of T3 at the cellular level, I have to wonder. Of course, I went hyperT about 18 months after that so I had to take atd's for about 2 yrs. I still wonder if there is a connection between overmedicated on atd's for so long, as to why I have to have a T3, T4 combo drug for the hypoT that I now seem to have. Keep doing searches but I must not be coming up with the right combo of words. sigh. SandyE~Houston RE: increased flexibility Yea, it's all in our heads! Everything is in our heads.
