Guest guest
Oh shame, shame on You Rosemary.Tumor talk on christmas day!!!!!!!!!!I see your getting on Santas list early for 2002,"Rosemary 1naughty". Well I still love you,Merry christmas Jimmy P.s.I got some very disturbing news.It is now offical.JIMMY IS OLD!!!!!!!!!!Yeap,I guess it's getting obvious, can't deny it any longer, cuz Gram gave me socks for christmas(sob sob sob) <no subject> Considering nf2 tumors usually grow slowly, and there is always big areas ofnecrosis (dead stuff), you'd think this drug might work for us??? A chemotherapy that targets the dead cells, attaches to them and thenattacks the growing tumor cells...quite a different approach.Glioma therapy on the right tracksource: Launched 1 October 2001| home | subscribe |Established tumours nearly always contain necrotic cells, which can accountfor up to 50% of the tumour volume. A therapy that targets this necroticcore has just been awarded 'fast-track status' by the United States Food andDrug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of the lethal brain tumourglioblastoma multiforme, in response to encouraging preliminary results in aPhase II clinical trial. The fast-track system is designed to speed up thereview of drugs that have the potential to address unmet needs for seriousdiseases; fast-track status does not guarantee approval, but drugs enteringthe system are typically reviewed within 6 months. The drug < CotaraTM(TNT-1/B) < is an125 iodine-labelled antibody that targets the nucleosomalDNA released by necrotic cells. Once the antibody has found its target,b-radiation from the125 iodine label kills the surrounding tumour cells. Asmore cells die, the tumour becomes an ever-more effective target for theantibody. A Phase III trial is planned for the end of the year.

Guest guest
Was it that obscure? Just a cute attempt from my youngest to convince me into buying him a plastic gun. After being so imaginative in his approach, and so aware of the political incorrectness of his request, he has been rewarded. Two guns, $3 each, at 'Barons Bargains'... the $9 ones were sold out. The 'plz' part got me. these kids know internet speak before they know how to construct sentences.
