Guest guest
I wanted to say hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted. Been through the ringer a bit. My Grammie passed away on Aug 9th from her very short battle with cancer (some of you may remember). I was able to spend a couple of days at the hospital with her before she died. I held her hand, told her I loved her etc... It was very bitter sweet. We found a poem book of hers when we went to her apt. to collect a few keepsakes. On the first page she had a little quote that said, " We are here for a good time, not a long time. " Well, today when I was waiting in the car for my husband and 3 year old to return from a quick run into the store, I was stressed out (we are packing and moving back to Texas from Canada on Tuesday), and my 2 year old was wailing in the car. Just when I thought I would lose it, a song came on the radio and was singing that same quote. I had never heard that song before (and I am a big music buff). It's by Trooper, an old Canadian band. Do you think it was a sign? I do . I thanked my Grammie for it and felt better even as my teething 2 year old wailed on lol. ANyway, just thought I'd share that and another little interesting tid bit. I went and had my eyes checked today. I feared that they were really bad by now, since it has been 4 1/2 years since I had them checked. I have vistually stopped wearing my glasses because they have been bothering me. ANyway, the eye doctor had this peculiar look on his face. He went over and over some of the typical eye tests etc... I started to panic thinking he saw a tumor or something dreadful. So I asked if everything was okay and he told me he'd explain in a minute. Oh boy! Well, guess what? He told me my eyesight had improved significantly. In fact, I have 20/20 vision with the exception of a worsening astigmatism. I asked him if this was common and he said he does NOT see it much. I was floored. Could it be the Armour? Wouldn't that be wonderful!!! As far as my Armour dosages etc..., I was up to 2 grains at one point and was going hyper, so I backed down to 1 3/4 grains. Then I started getting heart palps etc... almost everyday, so I went over my vitals and I was still hyper. I am now down to 1 1/2 grains and doing fairly well. I have added 8 pellets of isocort to my schedule, and I think that the isocort has helped me out and thus the hyperness from the higher doses of Armour? Maybe my thyroid is trying to kick back into gear? Who knows, but I am managing much better and I even look like the old me again. I still have some battles with acne. DOn't really know how to eliminate that. I am just hoping that that will eventually go away when my stress levels come down. I DO NOT plan on moving again for awhile lol. 3 HUGE cross country moved in 1 1/2 years would be enough to turn anyone into a big flaming zit lol. Okay, I better go. SO much to do and so little time! Take care everyone, and I will post again once I get to Texas. It's going to be a loooooooong drive with the kiddos lol.
Guest guest
Hi !! Yes, yes, yes, I do also believe that was a sign! So very sweet, too. My dad did the same thing with me after he passed away. I am so sorry about your dear Grammie, but it appears you have gotten the wonderful message you needed. ) As far as your hyper....even though you are on Isocort, make sure you get your Ferritin tested. A low Ferritin can cause the exact same symptoms. It happened to me. Once I corrected my Ferritin, I was able to rise again past the 2 grains. I've never needed adrenal support....and if I hadn't have tested my Ferritin, I might have made the wrong assumption. I fear that too many folks are quick to assume that situations like yours are adrenal related, when in fact, they could be Ferritin related. This is NOT to say you don't need Isocort. But it's always good to rule out other issues, too, before covering them up with something you " may " not need. Janie ) > I wanted to say hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I have > posted. Guest guest
Well sorry to hear about your grandma, I think very possibly a sign. As far as the eyes you are only the second person I have talked to that has had a improvement with them since on meds. I thinks it a little unusual...but very possible. Glad to hear you are doing good. > I wanted to say hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I have > posted. Been through the ringer a bit. Guest guest
Hi , I was thinking about you the other day and wondered if everything was ok. Sorry to hear about your Grammie and yes I do think it was a sign from her. Just be aware that your move back to Texas is going to cause a huge amount of stress so don't be surprised if your symptoms get worse for awhile, it may even take a few weeks to show. I wish you all the best. Lynda (in the UK) A tid bit of interesting news - Hello everyone! I wanted to say hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted. Been through the ringer a bit.
