Guest guest
I copied this a while back. A member on a thyroid was under her Dr's care & he had her do a taper. This was what she wrote: Here is the schedule for a 5 day prednisolone taper: this clears out accumulated stress from the adrenals: USING 5 MG. TABLETS: Day 1: 8 am: take 4----------12 noon: take 2 Day 2: 8 am: take 3----------12 noon: take 1.5 Day 3: 8 am: take 2----------12 noon: take 1 Day 4: 8 am: take 1----------12 noon: take .5 Day 5: 8 am: take .5---------12 noon: take 0 This must be rigidly adhered to. You CANNOT skip or stray from this schedule. If you do, it will be VERY uncomfortable. Otherwise, it's generally a bit euphoric and can sometimes feel like a roller coaster ride. This taper is outlined in Dr. andrew cutler's book " Mercury Amalgam Illness " for people who have adrenal fatigue and need to clear out stress. Of course then he also advises to take HC up to 4 times daily on a regular schedule for adrenal support. These tapers should only be done every 4 or more months, not any more often than that.
