Glad you're feeling better. just checkn in I just wanted to let you know my progress in the last 3 weeks since being diagnosed with Lyme , starting treatment and gluten Sens. Ive been good about the gluten,,,,,only one mishapp in 3 weeks. BEERI just wanted a "beer burying event" 3 beers later, I was done. I havent drank in so long....I guess wine is gonna have to be an alternative for the days I may need it.Anyhow, Ive been doing SOOO much better now that I have been trating the Lyme. Ive been doing light outside work and I was able to have sex painfree last night, Even today Im okay.. Im usually at a 8 Ive been at a 3 for about a week, which is A lot when youve been at high levels for a legnth of time. Ive strted other things at the same time so Im not sure what it is, but Im thinking the lyme treatment. Im also taking Paxil, probiotics , uva usri, capyrlic acid, and dig. enzymes, mutli vit. and diflucan once a week. Been enjoying detox baths. I am like Tami right now, ,,,feeling a little better wanting to get things in order, Its hard not to over do it. Especially when youve been down so long.anyways, I wanted not to brag, but to encourage, Ill be honest, there were "bad" days where I couldnt read this site cause I saw sex posts and lube, and I just wasnt able to do it....so after 18 months of HELL, and meds, surgery, and lingering hopeIm doing the best Ive done in almost 2 years! On the Lichen Sclerosis list there was an article that came from the International Journal of Dermatology that had recommendations from several doctors in OH who thought lichen sclerosis should be treated with antibiotics. That sort of started this thread I think.... they had taken 15 lichen sclerosis patients and gave them intra-muscular antibiotics for 10 months or so and had them take oral antibiotics too and 4 of them were completely cured of the LS, most of them showed dramatic improvement. So, that's why they'd recommended that treatment. And, then, it turned out that there were a number of people on this list and the ls list that actually had lyme and had been treated with antibiotics or were currently being treated. And then I and a few others decided to be checked for it too..... it seems to me that there could be a number of causes of vulvodynia but lyme could definitely be one of those underlying causes.
