Yes Sue. I started taking armour last friday. My Dr. Prescribed me

3 grains per day. I definatly don't want to complain to him ans have

him switch me back to synthroid, so I am getting alot of my info

from this board and others. Debi

Debi, starting on 3 grains was honestly too much to start on.

BUT....if you have had no heart palps or other issues, it would be

VERY wise to stay on that 3 grains for at LEAST 5-6 weeks. Why??

Because you need to give the T4 time to build in your system, and

see the results. If you rise again this soon, you could find

yourself OVER what you need........or again giving your T4-only body

too much T3 to adjust to, too quick.

It's also very wise to get your Ferritin tested. A low Ferritin will

end up giving you problems on that dose.

Patience, patience.

You are on way too high a dose for just starting. Your body needs to

gradually get used to having all that direct T3, and your adrenal glands may

not be able to keep up with a sudden dose like that. Beyond around about 30

mgs, each dose titration needs to stay for 4 to 8 wks or so, then go up.

You are putting yourself at risk going this fast.
