Guest guest
Ruth Grahm, I want to be on Oprah too. My surgery was Jan 10th and I have lost 20 lbs. Dr Rutledge is a prince. The hospital leaves a lot to be desired. But hey, it's all they've got for now. I'm sure in the future he'll have a building where the whole thing will take place so that even super clean freaks like me will be happy!! lol Now I'm not saying that Durham Regional isn't clean, but it could be better maintained. I don't think they have enough staff, maybe. Oh well, it doesn't matter when you are desperate to have surgery like I was. I mean I would be a gonner without this surgery, probably in another year. As it is and the way things are going. I will be here to see my grandchildren grow up and that is so exciting to me.

Guest guest
Congratulations on your loss! I'm almost 2 months post-op, and even though I've lost over 50 pounds, I still have those feelings you're describing. My husband swears he can see the change, but I've yet to be convinced. As far as the cheeseburger goes, I guess everyone's different, but my experience with 2 bites of a Mc's cheeseburger last night tells me that I won't be having them again! I think it's the bread that gives me the trouble, I'm not sure. I did sucessfully eat a Krystal cheeseburger a few weeks ago, but it took me about 30 minutes, and truthfully wasn't that satisfying. Continued success!!! CC 11/22/99 53 lbs gone! It's good to be back! Hi Everyone My surgery was on Dec. 20th, and my computer finally works again! This has been a fascinating journey...I have lost 40 lbs THIS MONTH!!!! The frustrating part is that I still can't see the loss, and I constantly fear that this isn't going to work for me...(crazy, given that I lost 20lbs my first week, I suppose)...but after spending a lifetime being fat, maybe my fears aren't too surprising... It has been a challenge to be around food...the smells alone are brutal...I've had soups & even some ultra mashed potatoes...Does anyone know if we can ever eat cheeseburgers? I was thrilled to finally meet Dr. R & Debbie...I don't have rave reviews of the staff at Durham Regional...but everyone's experience is different... I was also so glad to meet some of you at Dr. R's clinic! Gift Angels> If you're out there...Let me know how you are!!! I also have to say that I am so glad that Dr' R. showed us a video of the procedure...It summed everything up neatly, and somehow made the surgery very real & seem to make perfect sense Dr. R...when are we all going to go on Oprah? (On second thought...maybe we should give it a few months so that I can loose more weight & make all of my ex boyfriends miserable! LOL) -Ruth Graham ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Please click above to support our sponsor ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- This message is from the Mini-Gastric Bypass Mailing List at Onelist.com Please visit our web site at http://clos.net
