Can you drip yogurt as soon as it comes out of the yogurt maker? I use

T-shirt material in a colander over a bowl, so all I havae to do is

pour it in. WOuld that disturb it?

Thanks!

Thanks ! I guess I'll have to wait...*sigh*AlyssaAlyssa,You can drip warm yogurt, but you probably don't want to for the following reason: chilling yogurt allows it to "gel" and set up. When you drip chilled yogurt only the liquid drops out. When you drip warm yogurt, a great deal of the yogurt will slip through as well, so you do not get the same result as dripping chilled yogurt. Unless you make yogurt with straight half and half it is loose enough when warm that it may slip completely or nearly completely through the strainer or cheesecloth. You don't want to loose all that good yogurt. I know :-) I have tried it in my own impatience. . .twice!
