Guest guest
Our 7 y/o son was just diagnosed with Crohn's. While researching about it, I came across the book BTVC and read the reviews. I want to implement this lifestyle. I was told by the doctor that we didn't need to change his diet but that doesn't make sense to me sense to me because at a minimum, I would think it prudent to know what foods will cause him discomfort. I look forward to all of the cooking involved but I admit that making homemade yogurt scares me! I've started talking to my son about changing his diet and trying to present it as a way for him to hopefully not have to go to the hospital for his Remicade treatment. I keep a food journal now and also I've started to eliminate some of the things that he won't be able to have. I don't want to jump into the diet but I'm hoping that we can start it next month, that way we can shore up supplies like almond flour and yogurt starter. I'd love to hear from other parents in this situation. Glad to know there is a group dedicated to BTVC! Thanks.
