Hello Mark,

Hey! What have I told you about playing Humpty Dumpty! Everytime

you do you take that chance off falling apart & you know how hard it

is putting yourself back together again, silly! What am I gonna do

with you? Seriously, I hope you hava a good check-up & all is well.

Let me know later. I'll try to find the room tonight. The girls are

on spring break, so hard telling what we may get into! Good Luck

with your check-up!

Lots of Hugs,

I have a check up today. Hoping I am not falling apart.......I hate

having

to put myself back together again.

Mark:

Can you find the lady's email address for me? She lives in Mauii. I would

really appreciate it. Hope this note finds you well and without pain.

Thanks

Hi Karyn and the Group,

Sorry I have been out of touch for so long. My life has been on a

roller-coaster ride ever since the last time I communicated with you. I just

wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive (if not well) and still

kicking.

I hope everyone is doing well today. I will be able to keep in touch again

and hope you haven't forgotten about me.

Andre'

PS How was the symposium? Was it successful?

Hi Andre, I have missed you. We all have missed you. I hope that you feel

better now than you did when you last posted. I have had my pancreas removed

and the islet cell transplant and I am doing great. Great except for my

hepatitis but I guess we can't have everything. Love, Shirley

Thanks, Poncho. I missed you guys and hope everyone is doing okay today.

When time permits, I'd really like to go over what has transpired over the

past couple of months in my life. Unfortunately, I'm still going through all

of my e-mail messages which is taking quite some time to complete (as you can

probably imagine).

Shirley,

That's wonderful news! I was wondering how this surgery turned out for you.

I contacted DR Sutherland also to inquire about this surgery. I also spoke

with my doctor here concerning his opinion, but he was unfamiliar with DR

Sutherland's work in Minnesota. I gave him the info and he called DR

Sutherland requesting more updated information on his success rates, but was

never contacted by him. I wonder why DR Sutherland is reluctant to take my

case? Is mine not correctable (I too have Pancreas Divisum and have had most

of my Pancreas removed during a Whipple, just as you did). Did you have any

trouble having his office contact you? I really still want to pursue this

avenue of recovery, as I feel this is my best hope of being able to return to

a productive life (work). Please, if you know, let me know how I can get

more info from DR Sutherland's office concerning this Islet cell transplant

so I can make an informed decision in conjunction with my current physician.

It's truly wonderful that your surgery seems to have been successful. It

gives us all hope when we finally here a true success story for a change :-)
