I DO want to try Armour. Should I order some now or wait for the hospital referral?? If I order now, what strength do I order and what dose will I start on? Also, I want to use the drug with the least fillers - is this the Armour or the synthetic one? and which is the best site to order it from? > To the person who posted re. 'buffalo neck/hump' (sorry I can't remember your name, I had so much mail to catch up on!) I have that too and my neck is very tender and swollen and painful but my GP has ignored that too. You have adresses to order Armour at http://www.geocities.com/thyroide . If you are in UK , myrxforless or international pharmacie would concern you . For the buffalo hump .... I just came across that in Thierry Hertoghe's book I'm reading . " the hormone solution " http://www.geocities.com/thyroide/books.html This book is SOOOO fantastic !! I can not recommend it enough . This is the book that impressed me most , ever since I read Dr. book . ( Janie , I remember you once said you wanted to know everything , and what you could read to learn it all . Read this ! ) I don't remember now what he said the buffalo hump comes from and how it has to be treated . The book is so overwhelming with knowledge . I expected a bucket full and got an ocean . It will take me time to learn it all . This doc is exactly the contrary of what normal docs are . You all know that normal docs prescribe us antidepressants and send us to the shrink . This doc is the opposite way round . He studied shrink , and when he was working in hospital as a very young doctor , .... he says " all I could see in these patients were hormonal deficiencies , the kind of stuff my father and grand father talked about at the dinner table " . ( the Hertoghe family are thyroid/hormone specialists since about 1890 , four generations . As you know , the missing outer eyebrows are a sign of hypo . This is called the " Hertoghe sign " because great grand father Hertoghe was the first one to describe this symptom back in the 19th century ) Thierry's book works partly like a dictionnary , both ways round . You have a list of the main hormones , about 15 , and what their role is . And you have other parts of the book where you find all your symptoms described and which hormone deficiency causes them ! Also he doesn't just consider " fatigue " for example . One chaper is intitled " fatigue fatigue or fatigue ? " You have to describe exactly how and when you feel tired , and he tells you what you need and where the problem is . It's just AMAZING . Concerning good docs in London : http://www.thyroiduk.org I hope it's right ... , the link is on http://www.geocities.com/thyroide anyway . So I don't need to have all the adresses in my mind , lol . ne in France it's 4 am here ... ! I was to sick to make sentences the whole evening , and only at 1 or 2 am I slowly started to function . " adrenal fatigue " is a small word ...... *sigh* Very interesting what you wrote , Tish ! And I thought I was smart ....

Guest guest
Jo, MOST folks are not relieved by levo! And those that think they are don't realize that they STILL have other symptoms that are related to an inferior med!! Yes, Armour appears to have the least fillers. There is an article in the FILES on this site that compares Armour to the other natural thyroids. Lots of folks here who self-treat get their Armour from myrxforless. You can compare sites that sell Armour in the LINKS section of this site. An average dose to start on is one grain, but it can also be wise to start on 1/2 grain. Then after about 3 weeks, if you have had no problems, you can rise to one grain....and so on. There are also good docs you can look into. I believe I have a couple listed for UK in the GOOD DOCS FILE. Or, you can check out ne's site and see what she has listed for UK. I would like to use some thing -? what. > I have just bought B. complex 100mg, Vit C 1000mg, CQ10 60mg and l- trysosine and selenium. I have started taking multivitamins/minerals and energy/protein drink. >
