Guest guest
I went to weekly acupuncture for over two years. Initially I went before a PLS Dx, because I had bad leg cramps. It helped tremendously. Now, of course I know the cramps were the beginning of this charming disease. When my speech began to slur, he started treating me for that. It was amazing how during the treatment my speech improved each time. The effect of the treatment lasted several days. Eventually, however I stopped seeing even mild improvement, so about a year ago I stopped going. I firmly believe my loss of speech would have been faster without the acupuncture. He gave me a special rate - what an insurer would have paid him - since I was a regular. $40 per time. I was advised to try Provigil to counter the sedative effect of Baclofen. The doctor thought Provigil might give me back my energy. I remember some of you have also tried it. I take 1-100 mg. 2x a day - one at breakfast, and one at lunch. It has improved my energy level. Doctor said never take one in the afternoon or evening as I might have a problem falling asleep at night. Thurza
