Guest guest
Hey Jeri, How are you and Gregg? Just thought I'd let you know i'm working on a cross stitch of a native wolf design and its really cool. I just love wolve pics and things of that sort. If I don't mess it up it's gonna be really cool. Just thought i'd tell you about it. I originally thought it would be hard because of all the colors but its actually easier......LOL How is Gregg doing after the biopsy? I truely hope he starts to doing better and the both of you get some peace of mind. Love and prayers, Happiness is inward and not outward; and it does not depend on what we have, but on what we are................. ~~~~~~Henry Van Dyke Jan Bovitz ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

Guest guest
Hi Jan! Gregg is doing well after the biopsy. We haven't been able to detect anything new that might be related to it, so I guess we were lucky! We did get an interesting note on the Insurance Company notice of payment, though - one of the services listed is "Remove Lesion from spinal c" and there it runs out of room. If a lesion was really removed, that should give us a definitive diagnosis, shouldn't it?? We see Dr. Stern tomorrow and that is one major thing to ask him! The last few days, Gregg has been sleeping strangely. Today, for instance, he slept from 3am until 9am, then got up and took his prednisone and then I went out (took a neighbor to work and drove downtown to Georgia State University to scope out where I have to go to take my Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam 2 weeks from now and then I stopped by my Mom & Dad's place for about an hour and a half. I called home from there, and didn't get an answer, so I hung up before the machine could pick up and called again in case he was out on the porch. The 2nd time Gregg (the younger) answered and said he thought his Dad was sleeping. When I got home, I found that he is, indeed, sleeping soundly enough so I've been in the room and talking on the phone but he hasn't stirred. I attribute this partially to his having gone through 5 surgeries and been under general anesthesia 4 times in less than a year. That has got to be hard on the body! Your cross-stitch sounds wonderful! Can you take a picture when you finish and send it! I used to have time to work with my hands more - I miss that sometimes! Just sitting and drawing or sewing or crafting... preferably listening to a book on tape or having someone read to me! Some day, it'll come back, though! Have a great day! Guest guest
Jeri I can't tell you how wonderful it is to read a post that says--"I'm taking care of myself." I am SO VERY PROUD OF YOU! Often times, I think that this disease, so very hard on us as the one with the actual illness-- is that much harder on our partners and family. At least as the patient, I can choose to go to the MD, or choose not to go. That is a small (very small) sense of control. As for Gregg's depression, it truly sounds like the Wellbutrin isn't working for him. If he's been on it for several weeks, and still is sleeping all day or even slipping deeper into depression-- he needs them to change his antidepressant. Please follow thru and talk with his psychiatrist. He doesn't have to live in depression hell-- it may take several different medication trys before he is on the right one, or combination of antidepressants-- but it is very possible to get the depression phase under control. For vacation, pack a couple of good books, read them to Gregg if he wants to listen, and snuggle in and relax-- you are really honoring yourself by taking care of you, and in the whole picture, you know it helps you to take care of others by taking such good care of you. Hugs to both you and Gregg, Tracie

Guest guest
Jeri: Im doing much better now that they adjusted my meds it deflated me again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lasix takes all that fluid away so now I can eat a little which makes me feel so much better. just a slight adjustment in meds can make a huge difference. though I am in that position of being weak, I am strong, and enjoying every day of sunshine and smiles, hugs, an life in general, every second of life is so precious.
