I am looking forward to the vacation but not the fights and quarrels in the back seat with the boys. I know exactly what you mean and I willprobably be saying the same thing after out trip! Guest guest Posted June 8, 2004 Report Share Posted June 8, 2004 Hi I'm so glad you are back, hope you did enjoy yourself, I have been sick and running a low grade temp I called to get an appointment with my doc can't get in til thursday well guess what when It was bedtime I felt unusually warm I checked my temp and it was 102.4 degrees and I just never run a temp over 99 my norm is 97.4 so I would say i'm definately sick............ Hope everyone else is doing ok....... I have had an aweful headache today too I thought it was a migraine but maybe it was because of the temp and I get chilled too. Guest guest Posted June 13, 2004 Report Share Posted June 13, 2004 and everyone, So sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, but I did take your advice and go to the ER and what it was I had an abscess on my butt from what the docs believe was a spider bite..........?????? who knows and it got to the size of a soft ball and it was very inflamed it kept my temp from 101 to 102 F til I seen the doc at the ER wed evening, I couldn't keep awake I was in and out of it I would take tylenol or ibuprofen and the fever would break and come right back.............. needless to say the docs had to lance the abscess and was that ever fun.......LOL........ and put me on a course of antibiotics and to check in with my PCP in 2-3 days well I called for an appointment and I can't get in to see him till the 24th, but I think I forgot to tell them I had been to the ER I don't remember my brain has been one big fog....... Janice came over on friday to spend the weekend with me and help me out......... The area has gone down significantly and the fever has broken but it is far from being healed.......that was one mean spider!!!! I am however going to be getting another PCP cause the one I have sucks and he hasn't even checked out whats wrong with my throat and it still hurts really bad and he was supposed to check it out cause I have pain and discomfort even swallowing ice cream............. I know something is wrong, he said something about seeing someone and getting a scope done but he never set it up, I'm still waiting on him........But no more i'm gonna take it in my own hands cause if its up to him i'll be dead in no time, cause i've had to do all the foot work with him!!! Kind of an unpleasant diagnosis, lol, but it sounds like they took care of it and it is healing! It must be awful to sit down!!! Damn spider, huh? I just switched my PCP too. I have had them in the past and gotten dreadfully sick, too. I've had allergy tests done and I am very allergic to all bug bites...even mosquito bites. I swell up 10 times more than the average person. About 8 years ago I had about 20 spider bites on my back and It nearly drove me crazy. I had to put something on them that sucked the poison out of my system. I wonder if your immune system had been weakened from your last surgery so it hit you even harder. I hope and pray that you are feeling better soon. And I am also happy about the boyfriend situation.
